An extra portion of wheat fufu, the darker swallow made from wheat flour cooked and turned until it is smooth and firm. It has a nutty, faintly earthy taste and a denser bite than plantain or potato swallow.
Wheat is what many people choose when they want something more filling, and it holds its shape against heavy soups such as egusi, ogbono, okro and bitter-leaf. It carries no heat of its own.
