FAQ — Ordering, Delivery & Dine-In

Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask us most often about Jollof Bistro — The Best Nigerian Food in Kigali. If your question is not here, call or WhatsApp +250 784 102 706. You will find us at 13 KG 176 St, Remera, near Kisimenti, and if you are outside and cannot see the door, call and someone will come out and wave you in.

Do you have dine-in?

Yes. We have a dining room in Remera and you are welcome to sit down and eat with us. You can also order ahead and pick up at the door, or have your food delivered anywhere in Kigali. All three are available, plus online ordering here on this website.

Do you deliver, and which parts of Kigali do you cover?

Yes, we deliver across Kigali. Order on this website, or call and WhatsApp us on +250 784 102 706 with your neighbourhood and we will let you know what delivery to your address costs.

What are your opening hours?

We are open from 8:00 to 23:30, every day of the week. Online orders on this site can be placed at any hour, and the kitchen picks them up during opening hours.

Can I book a table, or order food for an event?

Yes to both. Call or WhatsApp us on +250 784 102 706 to book a table or to talk through an event order. For parties and offices, most people order our food in litres, which is the easiest way to feed a crowd.

What is the buffet, and what are the litres packages?

Our buffet plates are the full sit-down classics, like jollof rice with coleslaw, egg and beef, ogbono soup with cassava fufu, bitterleaf soup with fufu and Nigerian pepper soup. The litres packages are for feeding a group: rice, soups, stews, beans, plantain and suya sold in 2 litre and 4 litre containers, ready to carry to a party, an office or a family Sunday.

Do you sell raw African foodstuffs?

Yes. Alongside the restaurant we run an African raw-food store where you can buy garri, ofada rice, Nigerian long grain rice, elubo and amala flour, beans flour, ground ogbono, African tapioca and smoked fish to cook at home. You can shop it on this website or pick it up when you visit us in Remera.

Do you have vegan food?

Yes. Several of our best sellers have vegan versions on the menu, including vegan egusi soup, vegan okro soup, vegetable soup, vegan smokey party jollof rice, vegetable fried rice, white steamed rice with tomato stew, and sweet potatoes with plantain porridge.

How spicy is the food?

Nigerian cooking is peppery by nature, and we cook it the way it is cooked at home. If you would rather have your plate gentler, or hotter, say so when you order by phone or WhatsApp, or leave a note with your online order, and we will pass it to the kitchen.

How can I pay?

You can pay by MoMoPay, in cash at the restaurant, or online at checkout when you order on this website.

Are you the same place as The Best Nigerian Food in Kigali?

Yes, exactly the same place. Same kitchen in Remera, same women-owned family business, same recipes. Our primary name is now Jollof Bistro, and The Best Nigerian Food in Kigali stays with us as the name most of this city knows us by. Nothing about the food, the address or the phone number has changed.
