A layered icecream cake sealed in a jar, 7,500 RWF. You take the lid off and eat it with a spoon, straight from the jar. One portion, and no plate to wash after. We make them in our kitchen at 13 KG 176 St, Remera, and there are six flavours.
The jar is the point. It goes in a bag on a moto and arrives looking the way it left, and it waits in your freezer with the lid on until you want it. You can also hand somebody a sealed jar and be finished, with no plate to collect back later.
The six flavours

Epic Choco. Chocolate cake layers, chocolate cream, fudge running through the middle. The richest one we make. If you order the darkest thing on a dessert menu, this is yours.

Berrylicious. Berry cream against soft cake layers. Lighter than the choco and sweeter with it. People who find chocolate too rich usually end up here.

Coffee Caramel. Coffee cream and caramel between cake layers. Read the next section before you pick this one, because it is doing a second job.

Coco Pine. Coconut icecream, sweet pineapple compote and moist cake layers. Tropical, and the furthest thing here from chocolate.

Nutella Crave. Built around Nutella, so hazelnut and chocolate together through the cream, with cake layers between.

Oreo Cheesecake. Cheesecake layers with Oreo crumb through the middle. Biscuit and cream rather than sponge and fudge.
Allergens. All six contain dairy and wheat. Nutella Crave contains hazelnut. None of the six contain egg. Tell us on WhatsApp if anyone eating has an allergy and we will tell you straight whether a flavour is safe for them.

Coffee Caramel, and the coffee effect
This is the 4pm jar.
The afternoon slump normally costs you a coffee and then something sweet to go beside the coffee. Two orders, two prices. Coffee Caramel is both of them in one jar. If you order tiramisu when you see it, or affogato, this is the same idea sealed and frozen.
It is made with real coffee, so there is caffeine in it, the same as in any dessert built on coffee. We have not sent it to a lab, so we cannot print a milligram figure and we are not going to invent one. Treat the jar the way you treat a cup. Good at 4pm. If coffee at night keeps you staring at the ceiling, do not eat this one late at night.
Rwanda grows some of the best coffee in the world. Making a coffee dessert here rather than a chocolate one felt obvious.
One pairing note. Of the six, this is the only jar you can put next to a black coffee without the two fighting. The rest turn sweeter beside coffee. This one goes the other way.

- You want sweet and lighter: Berrylicious.
- You want the afternoon pick-me-up and dessert in one: Coffee Caramel.
- You are not in a chocolate mood at all: Coco Pine.
- You are a Nutella person and you know it: Nutella Crave.
- You prefer biscuit and cheesecake to sponge: Oreo Cheesecake.
Buying for a group and cannot ask everybody? Take a spread. Every flavour is the same 7,500 RWF, so a mixed order needs no arithmetic.
Storing and eating it
Keep it frozen or in the fridge with the lid on until you want it. Straight out of the freezer it is firm, so give it a few minutes on the counter to soften, then go in with a spoon.
